C. David Naylor
David Naylor is Professor of Medicine and President Emeritus at the University of Toronto. A physician and health services researcher, Naylor was founding Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, before becoming getviagranoprescription Dean of Medicine and Vice Provost for Relations with Healthcare Institutions of the University of Toronto in 1999.
He served as the 15th President of the university from 2005 to 2013. Co-author of approximately 300 scholarly publications spanning a range of health research disciplines, Naylor has provided counsel to governments and healthcare associations, institutions, and enterprises in Canada and abroad for more than 25 years.
Among other assignments, Naylor chaired the National Advisory Committee on SARS and Public Health (2003), served on the federal review of support for R&D (2010-11) and chaired the National Advisory Panel on Healthcare Innovation (2014-15).
