Dr. Robert Madan attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Madan has the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada designation of Geriatric Psychiatrist. He has been on staff at Baycrest since 2003 and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Madan is the Psychiatrist-in-Chief and Deputy Chief of Staff at Baycrest, and is involved clinically in long-term care consultation, and outpatient psychiatry. Dr. Madan was the recipient of the 2022 Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry Award for Outstanding Contributions in Geriatric Psychiatry. His academic interests are in the areas of medical education and dementia.
