Prehabilitation involves interventions designed to improve patient outcomes after surgery. Interest in “prehab” has grown over the past decade, however the types of interventions, populations who benefit most, and overall impact of prehab on surgical course remain unclear. Furthermore, best practices surrounding implementation of prehab into routine perioperative care pathways are only recently developing. Our multidisciplinary group seeks to answer these questions.
