Amna Husain
Dr. Husain is a family physician with a focus in palliative care and is the research lead at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, Mount Sinai Hospital. She is a clinician scientist at the Lunenfeld Tanenbaum Research Institute and an associate professor in the Division of Palliative Care, Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Husain’s research focuses on developing new models of collaborative care in complex patients and tools to enable the collaboration. Specifically, the question that interests her is what makes informal networks function as effective teams? She is the inventor of Loop, a web-based clinical collaboration system, in partnership with Dr. Joseph Cafazzo, Dr. Trevor Jamieson and Dr. Jennifer Stinson.
