Dr. Wilson is a clinically-trained gastroenterologist and PhD Scientist in Physiology and Pharmacology. Her research focuses are pharmacogenomics, drug response and molecular mechanisms in inflammatory bowel disease.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVER

Dr. Wilson has made a significant contribution to a pharmacogenomic framework for optimal drug and dose selection in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that has had a direct impact on regional IBD patient care. Dr. Wilson has played a pivotal role in curating one of the largest IBD bio-banks in Canada to further our understanding of IBD biomarkers and disease mechanisms. Her work has had more than 450 citations and nearly 33,000 views.
