Dr. Soong is an academic hospitalist and an Associate Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto.  She completed her medical degree at Western University, family medicine residency at the University of Toronto, and a Master’s degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in 2013.  Dr. Soong is the Division Head of the Division of Hospital Medicine and Medical Lead for the Urgent and Critical Care Program at Sinai Health System. Her research and QI interests include utilization and appropriateness, novel models of inpatient care, and transitions of care.
