Dr. Barber is currently the Chair of the Section on General and Family Practice (SGFP) at the Ontario Medical Association, representing 15,000 family doctors across Ontario. At Queen’s University, Dr.Barber is the national chair and network director of the Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN), lead of the Information Management Committee and the Care of the Elderly program. He is also the medical director at Providence Manor, a 240-bed long-term care home and oversees its medical resident training program. He is a member of the Center for Studies in Primary Care within the Department of Family Medicine and Investigator to multiple studies focused on use of CPCSSN data to monitor chronic disease.
