Don Melady, BA, MSc(Ed), MD, CCFP(EM), FCFP
Don has been a staff Emergency Physician for 30 years. He works at Mount Sinai Hospital Toronto and is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. He focusses his academic activities in Geriatric Emergency Medicine. He is the director of a fellowship in Geriatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is a core founding member of the Geri ED Collaborative, funded by the John A. Hartford and West Health Foundations; and of the Geriatric ED Accreditation program of American College of Emergency Physicians; and founding chair of the Geri EM Group for the International Federation of Emergency Medicine.
