IAN STEDMAN, B.A., M.A., LL.B., LL.M., PhD Candidate
Ian is an Ontario lawyer who is currently completing his PhD at Osgoode Hall Law School. He has and is also the parent of a child with a rare genetic disorder and sits as a legal member on SickKids’ research ethics board. In 2018-2019, Ian completed a Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence Law and Ethics at SickKids’ Centre for Computational Medicine and currently serves as a member of both York University’s Artificial Intelligence and Society Task Force and SickKids’ Artificial Intelligence in Medicine for Kids (AIM4Kids) Task Force. His research interests lie at the intersection of law, applied ethics, public sector governance and the regulation of innovative and emerging technologies.
