AREA OF RESEARCH
Dr. Corace leads an active and extensive funded program of research in the areas of substance use health and mental health. Her work focuses on reducing stigma and barriers to care, increasing treatment access, and improving substance use health, mental health, and physical health outcomes through the development and evaluation of novel care models. She has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on over $10 Million of peer-reviewed funding. Dr. Corace has published nearly 100 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts, and given over 150 peer-reviewed and over 150 invited presentations.
MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVER
Dr Corace provides strategic leadership for mental health and substance use health system transformation and integration, including innovation in service delivery models. Working at provincial, national, and international levels, her work focuses on reducing stigma and improving treatment access and outcomes for people with substance use health and mental health problems. These novel models of care have demonstrated far-reaching impact and led to transformed delivery of care on a national scale. She contributes her expertise to standards and guidelines committees as well as policy development initiatives to improve mental health and substance use health care. Dr Corace’s contributions to science, innovations in practice, and community impact has been recognized through numerous awards.
