MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVER

Established a tertiary regional referral centre for interstitial lung disease in South West Ontario.
Coordinated 72 successful lung transplants for our patients, with waitlist mortality nearing zero.
Identified an inexpensive diagnostic and prognostic marker of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, p16.
Developed a fibrosing interstitial lung disease lung tissue bank at Western.
Developed a multi-dimensional staging system for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the RIsk Stratification scorE (RISE).
