Mark Boulos
Dr. Mark Boulos is an Assistant Professor and Associate Scientist in the Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. During his fellowship training in stroke and sleep neurology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Dr. Boulos also completed a Master’s Degree which explored the association of sleep disorders with cerebrovascular disease.
Dr. Boulos’ area of academic interest is the association of sleep disorders with TIA, stroke, dementia and other neurological disorders. In addition, he has an interest in home sleep monitoring, as well as the automated detection of sleep disorders. He is also exploring novel treatment interventions for managing sleep disorders.
Dr. Boulos’ research is supported by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada / Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Innovation Fund of the Academic Health Sciences Centres of Ontario, and several industry partners.
