Marko Mrkobrada
Dr. Mrkobrada is an Associate Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
He obtained his MD from UWO in 2005, and an MSc degree in clinical epidemiology from McMaster in 2015. His clinical practice and his academic interests specialize in the field perioperative medicine and inpatient medicine. His particular research interests focus on improving the health and function of acutely ill patients, as well as stroke and cognitive dysfunction after surgery.
Dr. Mrkobrada is the co-principal investigator for the largest ever study of covert stroke after noncardiac surgery, the NeuroVISION Study, and has collaborated on multiple studies in the fields of inpatient medicine, nutrition and perioperative medicine.
In his spare time, he spends time with his family and his dog, trying to avoid being eaten by bears in northern Ontario.
