MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVERY

Nicole Williams is the Director of the Provider Negotiations Management Branch (PNMB) in the Ministry of Health’s Physician and Provider Services Division (PPSD). Her role includes providing leadership and direction through planning, priority setting and negotiation of accountability agreements with health service providers and health care organizations.

Over the last couple of years, Nicole has lead the negotiations team responsible for the Ministry’s primary relationship with the Ontario Medical Association, which included administration of many diverse large scale physician services contracts.

As a member of the PPSD, Nicole works very closely with her colleagues to functionally align overall physician and provider services expertise from policy development through to negotiations and implementation.

Nicole is also a former Senior Manager in the Ministry’s Health Capital Investment Branch where she lead the collaborative review, approval and implementation of multi-million dollar health capital infrastructure investments for the GTA and Southwest regions of Ontario.

As a strategic and relationship-oriented leader, she enjoys working in multi-stakeholder environments to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.

Nicole holds a master’s degree in Public Policy, Administration and Law from York University, with undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology, Psychology and Health Studies.
