Dr. Siemens is cross-appointed to the Departments of Oncology, Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, and collaborative translational science interests have focused on the effects of micro-environmental changes on cancer behavior and particularly the ability of cancer to evade immune detection.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVER

Dr. Siemens has also formed a research network including epidemiologists, radiation and medical oncologists, nursing and cognitive psychologists focused on numerous prostate and bladder cancer survivorship issues, including patient information and decision aids, as well as indicators of quality of surgical care. He served as Editor of the Canadian Urological Association Journal from 2012-20, has recently been appointed as Editor of The Journal of Urology and serves as the President of the Canadian Urological Association.
