MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVERY

-Co-led the REaCT-NSQIP-Abx novel pragmatic clinical trial for colorectal surgery patients.

-The REaCT-NSQIP pilot trial has enrolled over 250 patients, with 95% of eligible patients agreeing to participate, and 100% data capture for the primary endpoint.

-Secured peer-reviewed grant funding through TOHAMO and the CIHR/NSERC/NMHRC ‘New frontiers in research’ fund.

-Post-pandemic, re-envisioned the REaCT-NSQIP platform into a novel remotely managed trial infrastructure, allowing remote enrollment, consent, randomisation, and direct-to-patient medication delivery.

-Is the PI on the upcoming REaCT-NSQIP-Celebrex trial for colorectal surgery.

Has secured peer-reviewed seed funding for this trial through the ‘ELEVATE’ competition at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
