Dr. Stephanie Ameis, MD, MSc., FRCP(C)
Dr. Stephanie Ameis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, Clinician-Scientist within the Child and Youth Mental Health Collaborative at Sick Kids and Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Associate Director of the Cundill Centre for Child and Youth Depression, Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child, Youth and Family Mental Health at CAMH.
Her clinical and research work focuses on children, youth and young adults with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), with goals to: (i) use brain imaging to learn how variation in brain circuit structure and function relates to behaviour as a means to develop new targets for treatment and (ii) use brain imaging to understand how existing and novel (i.e., medications, behavioural therapies, brain stimulation) interventions/treatments work.
