AREA OF RESEARCH

Dr. Yanping Gong is a highly accomplished medical professional with a wealth of experience and expertise spanning pathology, laboratory medicine, and clinical biochemistry. Beyond his outstanding research contributions, Dr. Gong’s extensive experience, board certifications, and active engagement in multiple professional organizations, such as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of American Pathologists, underscore his dedication to excellence in the field of clinical pathology. As the Laboratory Medical Director at Providence Care Hospital, Lennox & Addington County General Hospital, and Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, he makes substantial contributions to healthcare delivery within the Ontario Health East region.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND/OR HEALTH CARE DELIVER

Dr. Siemens has also formed a research network including epidemiologists, radiation and medical oncologists, nursing and cognitive psychologists focused on numerous prostate and bladder cancer survivorship issues, including patient information and decision aids, as well as indicators of quality of surgical care. He served as Editor of the Canadian Urological Association Journal from 2012-20, has recently been appointed as Editor of The Journal of Urology and serves as the President of the Canadian Urological Association.
